# JIRA in an Agile Environment - JIRA Community Space - Confluence
Many development teams are using JIRA (and Confluence) for agile software development with a methodology like XP or Scrum.

# Task Boards: Telling a Compelling Agile Story
The task board is the single most important information radiator that an agile team has. A task board illustrates the progress that an agile team is making in achieving their sprint goals. Usually the task board is located in an area that is central to the team. It?s interesting to look at the different kinds of task boards that teams use, and compare and contrast the differences. | 19.11.2008 11:42 Uhr | agile work
# The Task Burn Down Trap: everything finished, nothing done | Xebia Blog
In the past three projects I've been involved in (one as team member, two as agile coach) I've seen that the usual Sprint burn down based on tasks leads to a dangerous trap: you might end up with nothing done. In two cases we had nearly zero velocity for a Sprint, while the tasks were 90% done... Luckily there's a fix: burn down user stories, and toploading. | 19.11.2008 11:32 Uhr | agile work

# The Decline and Fall of Agile | C. Enrique Ortiz | About Mobility
Processes are at times, OK, most of the times, rejected by developers, mainly if forced, and especially if forced at the wrong time; note: developers are not stupid and what they want is to be given clear and achievable instructions (requirements) and to build and deliver it on a reasonable time-frame. Realize that process-wise sometimes most of the times ?good enough? is OK, as long as things are delivered on time and with good quality. Be flexible and use what works for you; processes like Scrum or other are really guidelines. | 17.11.2008 16:22 Uhr | agile work

# The Decline and Fall of Agile
Or maybe we need to stop selling Agile. Maybe we need to say, "Agile is hard, and you can't master it by sitting through a two-day course." Maybe we need to be firm and say, "Sorry, if you don't use agile engineering practices, if you don't have high-bandwidth communication, and if you don't include a strong customer voice, you're not going to succeed. Try something else instead." Scrum is popular because it's easy--and that's part of the problem. | 15.11.2008 21:10 Uhr | agile work
